• Centenary Riverside: Grey Heron - 2 - adult on river + 1 NE ; Cormorant - 4 - NE ; Pheasant - 1 - crowing ; Stock Dove - 13 - inc 12 NW ; Goosander - 1 - redhead, N ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - NW ; Peregrine - 1 - adult, low to NE @ 0810hrs ; Song Thrush - 2 - NW with Redwings ; Pied Wagtail - 5 - 'alba' wagtails NW/N ; Mute Swan - 5 - adult pair on river + singles N, then NE; S, then W & N, then W ; Fieldfare - 140-150 - NW in 2hrs ; Redwing - c230 - NW in 2hrs ; Woodpigeon - 320+ - SW in 2hrs ; Starling - 390+ - NW in 2hrs
• Chesterfield: Pink-footed Goose - 107 - Low South East over upper Newbold at 09:35
• Chesterfield Canal, Tapton - Staveley: Kingfisher - 2 - 1+1 ; Kestrel - 1 ; 319 - 2 - 1+1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 7 - 5+2
• Derwent Edge: Redwing - c250 - small flocks, largely heading N or NW ; Starling - c800 - another conservative count, flocks bombing W all morning.
• Emlin Moor, Agden: Common Buzzard - 3 - one Common with a pale uppertail.
• Five Weirs Walk: Goosander - 10 - 4 redheads & 1 almost adult male at Newhall Road, 4 redheads below railway bridge on closed part of track, 1 redhead on weir at Leveson Street ; Little Egret - 1 - roosting in trees beside river on closed off part of cycle track - viewable from East Coast Road
• Forge Dam: Kingfisher - 1 - perched up on S side of lake ; Moorhen - 15 - on pond
• Grange Park Golf Course: 319 - 2 - In grounds of Thundercliffe Grange @11:20. ; Redwing - 1+ - calls ; Goldcrest - 1+ ; Long-tailed Tit - 10+ ; Nuthatch - 1+ ; Magpie - 1+ ; Carrion Crow - 5+ ; Goldfinch - 1+ ; Bullfinch - 1+
• Green Moor: Common Buzzard - 3 ; Fieldfare - 10+ - Feeding in garden ; Redwing - 12 ; Tree Sparrow - 5 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Greenfinch - 1

• Kimberworth: Goldcrest - 2 - First sighting in garden this autumn/winter.

• Middleton Moor: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1500+ ; Black-headed Gull - 200+ ; Common Gull - 2 ; Herring Gull - 8 ; Yellow-legged Gull - 5 ; Whooper Swan - 4 - 2 adults + 2 juvs
• Mitchell Field: Barn Owl - 1 - quartering
• Moscar Cross: Red-legged Partridge - 13 - obvious game release, by gas terminal ; Cormorant - 3 - SW ; Golden Plover - 1 - over ; Fieldfare - 1200+ - conservative count, flocks through low N into Bradfield Dale 07:30-10:30, heavily outnumbering Redwings ; Woodpigeon - 600+ - Flocks moving SW, and also back N into wind. No big movement today, massive flocks reported on moorland fringe in the week, Weds am. ; Brambling - 4 - N
• Parkgate Canal Basin: Mute Swan - 70-80 ; Mallard - c70 ; Black-headed Gull - 3
