  • Longshaw: Brambling - 5+ - Minimum of 5 in woods behind cafe ; Mandarin - 14 - 8m+6f ; 319 - 1
  • Mag Clough: Redwing - 6 - in tree tops - moved off W
  • Middleton Moor: 320 - 11 ; Moorhen - 2 ; Raven - 1 ; Golden Plover - 20 - c. flew S at dawn ; Starling - 50 - c. flew N
  • Midhope Res: 320 - 9 - 6m, 3f ; Tufted Duck - 6 - 4m 2f ; Greylag Goose - 10
  • Millhouses garden: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - male ; Jay - 1 ; Blackbird - 4 2m 2f ; Woodpigeon - 2 ; Chaffinch - 5 - 4m 1f - 2 of the males were almost certainly the lame birds of previous record but the other two didn't look too good either ; Goldfinch - 1 ; Wren - 1 ; House Sparrow - 3 2m 1f ; Dunnock - 1 ; Robin - 1 ; Starling - 5 ; Blue Tit - 1
  • Millhouses Garden: Brambling - 2 - Male and female in garden ; Blackcap - 1 - Female, the second of the winter in the garden.
  • Orgreave Lakes: Pochard - 37 ; 321 - 4 ; Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Goosander - 3m ; Cormorant - 1 - Over ; Mediterranean Gull - 1 - Adult moulting into summer plumage. ; Kingfisher - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 2 ; Jack Snipe - 1 - On the plains

  • Priddock Wood: Common Buzzard - 4 - 2 distinct pairs circling over eastern end of Ladybower by A57

  • Ravenfield (St James*s Church ): Song Thrush - 1 - Singing ; Long-tailed Tit - 12 ; Nuthatch - 1 - Calling ; Skylark - 04-May - Singing and territorial display over oil seed field.
  • Ravenfield Park: Moorhen - 6 ; Coot - 1 ; Mute Swan - 2 ; Tufted Duck - 2 - Males. ; Mallard - 6 ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Goldcrest - 2 ; Siskin - 40+ - Large mobile flock all around site.
