  • Thrybergh Res: Brambling - 15 - at least 15 under bushes at feeding station.
  • Totley Bents: Willow Tit - 01-Feb - Singing male Bents Footway & Totley All Saints Primary School with probably a second bird calling.
  • Walkley garden: Collared Dove - 2 - 2 collared dove, one sitting on birch twig nest in eucalyptus tree

Friday 15th February 2019

  • Barlow Brook: Chiffchaff - 1 - singing. ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 01-Feb ; Goldfinch - 6+ ; Song Thrush - 1 - also singing
  • Barnside Moor: Woodcock - 3 - Flying out of wood probably to feed.
  • Damflask Res: Mandarin - 8 ; Great Crested Grebe - 2
  • Ellesmere Green, Burngreave: Waxwing - 25 - resting up next to single berry laden Sorbus tree.
  • Green Moor: Brambling - 2
  • Leadmill Bridge: 319 - 4 - 2 apparent pairs overhead calling
  • Millhouses: Blackcap - 1 - male in Springfield Rd garden
  • Orgreave Lakes: Oystercatcher - 4 ; Ringed Plover - 2 ; Snipe - 1
  • Parson*s Piece: Red-legged Partridge - 1 - on roadside wall
  • R Derwent, Coppice Wood: Goosander - 9 - 4 males, 2 pairs, 1 solitary female
  • R Derwent, Fallcliff Wood: Dipper - 2 - on moss covered branch apparently collecting nesting material. Also singing male
  • R Derwent, Goose Nest Wood: Goosander - 2 - 1 male 1 female

  • Woodhouse Washlands: Stonechat - 1 - On fence beside Transpennine Trail near factories at Woodhouse Mill.
