Brownhills Lane: Oystercatcher - 4 - appeared to be 2 adult, 2 young

Catcliffe: Moorhen - 4 - 1 adult 3 juveniles feeding on grass verge near Boundary Mills 14.30.

Endcliffe Park: Grey Heron - 1 - On upper pond, saw it catch & eat 1 of 4 Mallard ducklings. 30 mins later only 1 duckling remaining!

Poolsbrook Marsh: Great Crested Grebe - 1 - ad on main pool ; Green Woodpecker - 3 - ad female & 2 fledged juvs on telegraph pole by main pool ; Reed Warbler - 5 ; Sedge Warbler - 2 ; Swift - 15 - c. feeding over main pool ; Sand Martin - 2 - feeding over main pool ; House Martin - 2 - feeding over main pool ; Common Sandpiper - 1 - heard calling at 06:40 hrs

R Don, Rotherham Centre; Keppel Wharf: Grey Wagtail - 1+ - singing @ 0800hrs; adult + fledged, dependent juv @ 1250hrs ; Sand Martin - 3prs - min 3 occupied nests beneath coping stones of wall adjacent river, well above water! Birds entering/leaving.
