  • White Edge Moor: Stonechat - 2 ; Meadow Pipit - 2 ; Red Grouse - 1 ; 324 - 30+ - Several herds and singles of Red Deer including some magnificent stags .Photographers in large numbers too .

  • Agden House Woods: Woodcock - 1 ; Brambling - 4 ; Redwing - 100-200 ; Fieldfare - 1000+ - Large flocks flying in all directions in the misty conditions
  • Bingham Park: Dipper - 3 - 1 displaying & 2 fighting. All seen together ; Mallard - 2+ - Mating
  • Blacka Moor: Fieldfare - 100
  • Canklow Woods: Redwing - 90
  • Crookes Valley Park: Coot - 8 - My highest count here ; Moorhen - 5
  • Ecclesall: Skylark - 1 - flew E mid-afternoon
  • Ewden Valley: Whooper Swan - 47 - Noisy, heading SSE.
  • Foolow: Pink-footed Goose - 200 - South at 10.30
  • Hathersage: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Nuthatch - 1 - heard ; Jay - 1 - Near Green’s House
  • Higger Tor: Wren - 1 - Singing below theTor at dusk
  • Hillsborough: Peregrine - 1 - Performed stoop dive over Hillsborough park, just after being harassed by Black headed gull.
