  • Soughley Lane, Redmires: Greylag Goose - 10 - Including one on small side with marked white blaze and black tip to bill, but no sign of White-fronted Goose.
  • Summerley: Kestrel - 1 ; Redwing - 6 ; 319 - 1
  • Totley Bents: Lesser Redpoll - 3 ; Willow Tit - 1
  • Ulley CP: Siskin - 20 - up to twenty feeding in Alders by Morthen Arm feeding station.
  • Wadsley: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - Single over Overton Road
  • West Nab: Barn Owl - 1 - hunting over rough pasture @ 14.30. ; Fieldfare - c150 - feeding in sheep fields. ; Starling - c100 - feeding with Fieldfares.
  • Wharncliffe Chase (north): Stonechat - Pair ; 319 - 2 - Calling ; Jay - 2 ; Woodpigeon - c400 ; Stock Dove - 1 ; Meadow Pipit - 3 west ; Kestrel - 2

  • Brinsworth: Blackbird - 1 - Singing on Barrett estate 5.00am
  • Bromley, nr High Green: Red-legged Partridge - 3 ; Black-headed Gull - 23 ; Corvid - c1000 - Mixed Carrion Crow/Jackdaw group feeding in newly ploughed fields.
  • Brownhills Lane: White-fronted Goose - 1 - imm with 6 Greylags ; Greylag Goose - 1 - 'white-fronted' bird, but note thick orange bill with pale tip (cf the White-front).
  • Chatsworth Park: Redwing - 100+ - Parties of 70+ and 30+ ; Goosander - 1 - Redhead flying south
  • Cinder Bridge Field: Common Buzzard - 2 - over together ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - harassed by crow
  • Crosspool: Tawny Owl - 1 - roosting in tree hollow
  • Fulwood Garden: Treecreeper - 1 - Not seen one in the garden for years.
  • General Cemetery, Sharrow: Bullfinch - 2 - 1m,1f

  • Frecheville: Goosander - 8 - Frecheville pond.
  • Green Moor: Tree Sparrow - 7 ; Chaffinch - 10+ - A good number here ; Greenfinch - 5
  • Hathersage: Redwing - 30 - In flock with 2 Mistle Thrushes
  • Hathersage garden: Brambling - 1 - At feeding stations
  • Millhouses Lane garden: Siskin - 2 - females, visiting the feeders
  • Orgreave Lakes: Green Woodpecker - 1 - Associating with Fieldfares
  • Ringinglow: Starling - 180+ - In field
  • Wire Mill Dam: Goosander - 3 - 2f 1 m
