  • Dukes Road: Wheatear - 1 - male ; Red Kite - 1
  • Fulwood garden: Brambling - 7 - At least this number; max 4f and 3m seen at same time ; Lesser Redpoll - 3 - At feeders incl. a ringed female. ; Siskin - 8 - At least, visiting feeders ; Bullfinch - 2 - Pair ; Lesser Redpoll - 3 - photo of ringed female (unable to read ring)
  • Green Moor: Tree Sparrow - 8+ - At least 8 daily ; Yellowhammer - 4 - Up to 4 daily ; Siskin - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 1 - First singing bird today
  • Hathersage: Long-tailed Tit - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Lapwing - 2 - Near Overstones Farm
  • Hathersage Moor: Red Grouse - 1
  • Hathersage Road near Stony Ridge: Raven - 1
  • Hillsborough Park: Mute Swan - 3 - pair nestbuilding on island ; Herring Gull - 2 - 1w and 2w ; Coot - 10+ - 5 occupied nests with sitting birds ; 321 - 0 - no sign of activity in last years occupied nest
  • Howden Res: Osprey - 1 - came over res at 1915 from east then spent 20 minutes looking around res before heading NW gaining height as it left. ; Mandarin - 3 - Two Males one Female landing on res at dam end
  • Kimberworth: Siskin - 1 - I male on garden sunflower hearts feeder. First sighting since about the same time last year.

  • Low Bradfield: Siskin - 4
  • Middleton Moor: Fieldfare - 75 ; Osprey - 1 - flew through this evening ; Curlew - 4 - just 4
  • Midhope Res: Osprey - 1 - Heading west at 18:00 ; Fieldfare - c100 ; Oystercatcher - 2 pairs - In fields ; Curlew - c60 - Feeding in fields ; Siskin - 1+ ; 319 - 2 ; 320 - Pair ; Meadow Pipit - c100 ; Lesser Redpoll - 1 - Feeding on overflow section for over an hour ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Lapwing - 4 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Little Grebe - 3 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - adult west

  • Mitchell Field: Red Kite - 1 - Seen above then over towards Callow & Stanage. Brief interaction with Buzzard. ; Curlew - 2 - Over, near Mitchell Field
  • Norfolk Heritage Park: Stock Dove - 1+ - incubating eggs in artificial nest box ; 319 - 1 - On branch for at least 20mins
  • Orgreave Lakes: Peregrine - 1 - Male flew east with small prey ; 320 - 9 ; Wigeon - 5 ; Redshank - 4
  • Peat Pits: Golden Plover - 100+
  • Scholes lane: Skylark - 1 - singing, arable field adj Keppels Field.
  • Scholes Pond & Surrounds: 319 - 1 - soaring N of pond near Red House Farm @ 11:10. ; Wren - 1 - singing ; Robin - 1 - singing ; Blackbird - 2 ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Fieldfare - c30 - in and out of surrounding trees ; Blackcap - 1 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing ; Linnet - 20+ ; Skylark - 1 - singing ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - fields S of Little Lane.
  • Shillito Wood: Blackbird - 2 ; Brambling - 2 ; Reed Bunting - 4+ ; Yellowhammer - 5+ ; Yellowhammer - 5+ - female
  • Silver Wood: Chiffchaff - 9 - 6 singing disused r/way line, 2 singing southern edge of main woods, 1 singing near Woodlaithes duckpond ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - drumming in SE finger of woods ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 6 - 3 singing r/way line, 1 singing lower woods (Gulling Wood), 2 singing woodland south of Hollings Lane ; Nuthatch - 3 - 2 singing main woods, 1 singing south of Hollings Lane ; Chaffinch - 7+ - at least 7 singing in area, up on recent years ; Yellowhammer - 2 - pair on Pingle Lane Tip ; Linnet - 4 - on upper-level of Pingle Lane Tip, 1 singing ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Jay - 1 ; Coal Tit - 2
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Curlew - 1 - in from SW at 07.50, departed east at 08.00
  • Strines Moor: Wheatear - 3 - 2m, 1f in roadside fields
  • Ughill: Curlew - c100 - two colour ringed birds (both ringed in Wales) still with the flock. ; Oystercatcher - 1
