• Firsby Res: Coot - 1 ; Mallard - 6 - 5 Males attempting to mate with 1 Female. ; Canada Goose - 2 - Pair arrived early morning and landed on main Res. ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - On sluice. ; Jay - 2 ; Blackcap - 6+ - All males. ; Willow Warbler - 8 ; Chiffchaff - 4+ ; Reed Warbler - 1 - Calling in far reed bed also possible Whitethroat calling in brambles but not confirmed. ; Red-legged Partridge - 2 ; Pheasant - 3 ; Song Thrush - 1 ; Blackbird - 1 - Female on 5 eggs close to path. • Morley Pond: Greylag Goose - 4 - in adj field, feeding with 2 Canada Geese ; Coot - 1 - fighting with Moorhen ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Pied Wagtail - 1
• Norton Lees allotment: Chiffchaff - 1 - singing
• Orgreave Lakes: Sedge Warbler - 1 - In the small reedbed by the main lake at 0830. ; Whinchat - 1 - male ; Green Sandpiper - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 4 - on small lake ; Dunlin - 1 - on eastern edge of small lake. ; Whitethroat - 1 - Singing between bridges.
