• Harthill Res: Garden Warbler - 2 - 2m ; Whitethroat - 2 ; Yellowhammer - 2 - pr ; Ringed Plover - 2 ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Blackcap - 7 - pr,3m,f,m at nest ; Chiffchaff - 5 ; Willow Warbler - 3 ; Reed Warbler - 3 - singing males ; Reed Bunting - 3 - m, ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Great Crested Grebe - 6 - pr, one on nest, one tangled with an active fishing line, released but length of line attached ; Kestrel - 1 ; Swallow - 30 - nos arriving mid afternoon ; House Martin - 2 ; Moorhen - 4 ; Mallard - 40 - F + 11young , F + 10, F + 6, F + 6,

• Middleton Moor: Grey Plover - 1 - still present ; Fieldfare - 45 ; Reed Warbler - 2 ; Wheatear - 2 ; Shelduck - 2 ; Swallow - 3 ; 320 - 2 ; Linnet - 4 - 2 pairs
• Moss Valley, upper: Chiffchaff - 4
• Orgreave Lakes: Great Crested Grebe - 18 ; Redshank - 2 ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 4 ; Little Ringed Plover - 1 ; Garden Warbler - 1+ - Singing ; Sand Martin - 30+ ; Swallow - 6+ ; Greylag Goose - 6+ - 2 seen mating ; Tufted Duck - 26 ; Black-headed Gull - 120+ ; Reed Bunting - 10 - All males, some singing ; Skylark - 8 - Singing ; Swift - 6+ ; Lapwing - 5 ; Wigeon - 1 ; Gadwall - 4 ; Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Whitethroat - 1 - Singing ; Willow Warbler - 4 - Singing ; Blackcap - 1 - Male singing ; Dunlin - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 2 - Singing ; Whinchat - 1 - Male - maybe same bird as previously seen a week or so ago, or a new one. • Parkgate Canal Basin: Mute Swan - 47 ; Mallard - 20 ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing
• Peat Pits: Lapwing - 2 - pair with 5 small chicks, just across road from West Nab farmhouse. ; 319 - 1 - hunting from stone wall, constantly mobbed by lapwings. ; Lapwing - 5+ - 5 adults with broods of 3,1+,1,1,1. ; Woodpigeon - 1 - nest sitting. ; Chaffinch - 1 - nest sitting.
• Ramsley Res: Lesser Redpoll - 12 ; Siskin - 2
• Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Sparrowhawk - 1 - male, over then N @ 1740hrs ; Robin - 1pr+ - #NAME?
• Redmires conduit: Greylag Goose - c20 - Two sets of parents and approx 10 goslings on pool by hut at end of conduit. ; Tawny Owl - 1 - At top res end of conduit, flew into plantation
• Stanage Edge - Crow Chin Rocks area: Raven - 2 - One bird flew low over moor from Middle Moss area carrying what looked like a bit of prey; bloody with birds legs hanging below - continued on over towards Ladybower Res where I lost sight of it. A few mins later another flew from same direction with a full crop and something in it's bill, this time over towards the woodland by Cutthroat Bridge.
