Sothall: Pink-footed Goose - 2+ - skeins nocmig sound recorded over garden 2115hr, 2230hr

Spittal Houses: House Martin - 10 ; Goldfinch - 15+ - feeding on thistles

Weston Park: Carrion Crow - 2 - Crow having a dispute with brown rat for a few minutes.

Wharncliffe Chase: Swallow - 10+ ; Kestrel - 2 - Together ; Red-legged Partridge - 4+

Whinfell Quarry Gardens: Mistle Thrush - 1 - over

Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 3 - 3 in the air together at 16:00

Dog Kennel Pond: Cormorant - 2 - juvs resting in tops of tree ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Mallard - 40+ ; Coot - 1+ ; Grey Wagtail - 1

Ecclesfield: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Cross Hill, - male flew very low over garden at 16:00.

Handsworth: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - Handsworth Crematorium @12.15...harassed by 2 local Magpies

Heeley: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Successful hunt in observer's garden - several sightings and two unsuccessful attacks previous week or so.

Low Common: Black-headed Gull - 100+ ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 2+ - at least 2 adults with 1 juv, in with BH following tractors ploughing out stubble

Middle Common: Kestrel - 1 - on tel. pole

Middleton Moor: 320 - 25 ; Lapwing - 41 ; Snipe - 28 - Parties of 10,6,and 12 in from east

R Derwent, Harper Lees: Goosander - 6 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Dipper - 1

Rockingham Wood: 319 - 2 - adult and pos juv(smaller) low over wood.

Shiregreen: Sparrowhawk - 2 - Hartley Brook - pair interacting while hunting,drifting south.

Silver Wood/Old Ravenfield: Green Woodpecker - 1 - on upper-level of Pingle Lane Tip at 08.05

Agden Side: Meadow Pipit - 4-500 - Still plenty of small parties of meadow pipits moving south all morning. ; Swallow - 20-30 - A couple of small flocks heading north, strangely.
