  • Redmires Res: Greylag Goose - 69 - in fields on Soughley Lane ; Canada Goose - 23 - in fields on Soughley Lane ; Tufted Duck - 2 - still on Top Res ; 320 - 9 ; Sparrowhawk - 2 - over Top Res ; Lapwing - 20 ; Fieldfare - 510 - mostly in and around Fairthorn Clough - before continuing SW ; Redwing - 1000 - in and around Fairthorn Clough before continuing SW ; Song Thrush - 1 - in Fairthorn Clough ; Blackbird - 6 - in Fairthorn Clough ; Ring Ouzel - 1 - with Blackbirds in Fairthorn Clough ; Mistle Thrush - 8 ; Starling - 250 - flew W in 1 hour ; Reed Bunting - 8 - flew SW in one hour ; Brambling - 19 - mostly SW
  • Sothall: Fieldfare - 50 - west 1500hr ; Redwing - 9 - nocmig recorded overnight 05/06th ; Blackbird - 4 - nocmig recorded overnight 5/6th

  • Firsby Res: Pied Wagtail - 1 - On sluice. ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - Over calling. ; Black-headed Gull - 1 ; Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling early morning. ; Barn Owl - 1 ; 319 - 2 - Pair early morning. ; Kestrel - 1 - Call ; Jay - 2 - Calls ; Fieldfare - 100+ - Flock over heading SW at 07:30 ; Redwing - 5+ - Over. ; Skylark - 2 ; Siskin - 10+ - Over calling.
  • Fox Hill: Pink-footed Goose - 400+ - headed west ar 12:00, very vocal ; Collared Dove - 2
  • Greenhill: Redwing - c100 - A number of small groups (c20) of this species or Fieldfare (no bins) flying NW over Greenhill
  • Orgreave Lakes: Redwing - 300 - West
  • Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Goldfinch - 10 - flock visiting gardens
  • Rawmarsh; St Mary*s Church: Kestrel - 1 - flying around church tower calling excitedly, chased by crow
  • Redmires Middle Res: Mallard - 12 ; Canada Goose - 6 ; Lapwing - 25+ ; Golden Plover - 11 - Left middle res and flew east ; Kestrel - 2
  • Redmires Top Res: Woodcock - 2 - In flight through plantation ; Bullfinch - 2 - Male and female eating berries
