  • Canklow Woods: Lesser Redpoll - c 40
  • Curbar: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1
  • Endcliffe Park: Dipper - 1 - Near Hunters Bar at 7:20 ; Kingfisher - 2 - 15:10, lower pond. Appeared to be some chasing.
  • Middleton Moor: 320 - 51 ; Goosander - 21 - 6 males 15 redheads. All flew in at 11.10
  • Oughtibridge garden: Blackcap - 1
  • RVCP, Main Lake: Lapwing - 54 ; Red-crested Pochard - 1 - female
  • RVCP, Meadowgate Lake: 322 - 1 - Harris Hawk ; 322 - 2 - Black Swan
  • Shepherd*s Plantation: Woodpigeon - 20+ ; Wren - 1 - singing ; Blackbird - 2+ ; Long-tailed Tit - 10+ ; Coal Tit - 1+ ; Great Tit - 1+ ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Magpie - 1 ; Chaffinch - 1 ; Brambling - 10+ - inc 6 feeding on one beech. ; Goldfinch - 4+

  • Endcliffe Park: Black-headed Gull - 170 - On recreation area ; Kingfisher - 1 - Flew upstream
  • Greystones garden: Bullfinch - 1 - Female
  • Meersbrook Park: Grey Wagtail - 1
  • Middle Common: Fieldfare - 20+ - W @ 14:20
  • Millhouses Lane garden: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - male mid-morning; female visited twice, early and mid-afternoon
  • Morley Pond: Grey Heron - 4 - SE toward Rockingham Wood, prob disturbed by shoot. ; Mute Swan - 4 - resident family @ small pond behind boathouse seamingly undisturbed by shoot. ; Mallard - 100+ - put up by guns most moved E toward Dog Kennel.
  • Scholes Coppice: Woodpigeon - 20+ ; Long-tailed Tit - 10+ ; Coal Tit - 1+ ; Blue Tit - 1+ ; Great Tit - 1+ ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Jay - 1+ ; Goldfinch - 3+ ; Brambling - 1 - calling
  • Shepherd Wheel Dam: Kingfisher - 1 - Regularly using the fishing perch someone has fixed on the north bank of the dam.

  • Brownhills Lane: Snipe - 1 - dropped into roadside field then immediately flew off
  • Canklow Woods: Goldfinch - 24 ; Lesser Redpoll - c 30 ; Brambling - 1 - 1 south at 1230
  • Firsby Res: Mallard - 5 ; 320 - 4 - 3M 1F.
